Ray-Ban Vintage Polarized Shooters
R2,000.00
Frame description: Fully refurbished – stunning 1980s Bausch and Lomb Ray-Ban shooters
History of frame: Ray-Ban ‘Shooter’ were originally designed to be functional, technical and recreational sunglasses with the first designs appearing in 1938. Aimed at the sports enthusiast and outdoorsman, ‘Shooter’ incorporates the famous cigarette holder, a circular device located at the center of the nose bridge. Originally intended to support the sportsman’s cigarette, whilst they took aim or needed the use of both hands, Ray-Ban ‘Shooter’ sunglasses now represent a retro design classic. With a hint of military inspiration, the iconic ‘Shooter’ played a part in both Sixties Mod and Seventies fashion culture.
